Mr. Paul Marimoutou

Elementary School Educational Consultant

I am delighted to be returning to the Lycée international Balzac, where I previously served as an academic advisor. I come back enriched by my experience in Hong Kong, eager to continue working collaboratively to support the staff and ensure student success.

As an elementary school teacher and teacher trainer with a CAFIPEMF certification, I have held positions in teaching, administration, educational consulting, and training in France and abroad. Supporting teachers, inclusive education, and digital education have been the guiding themes of my career.

My work is carried out in accordance with French curricula and the guidelines of the AEFE, the Mission laïque française, and the National Education Inspectorate, in line with the school’s mission statement.

My experiences in Cairo and Hong Kong have inspired a collaborative project focused on French as a language of instruction (FLSco). Based on explicit instruction in vocabulary and syntax, this approach aims to make learning more accessible and enable every student to understand, rephrase, and express their thoughts across all subjects.

This approach is rooted in a multilingual and intercultural perspective: it aims to promote students’ languages and cultures, build bridges between them, and strengthen their mastery of French as a language of learning, thought, and culture.

Digital technology and artificial intelligence also play an important role in my approach. I use them to design tailored materials, develop interactive tools, and facilitate the creation and sharing of resources among teachers, all with a thoughtful focus on supporting learning.

At Balzac, I want to work closely with the teaching staff to address the realities of the classroom, support their professional development, and help create a school that is challenging, caring, and inclusive.
